Well, not really.What it does is it gives you you detailed, authoritative information on watering systems for your yard and garden. Like all Ortho books it's very clearly illustrated by photographs and drawings that pull you in. It's fun just to sit and flip through the book. It'll teach you how to layout an efficient system that is economical and easy to operate. And it'll tell you when it's time to call in a pro.I've used Ortho books for years on many subjects and always found them top notch. I think you will, too.
Easy to understand and had almost as much information as a more expensive book I purchased. If you are new to working with irrigation systems, this is a good starter book. If you've been doing it awhile, this is not the book you want to purhase.
Not bad for a beginner but some of it is outdated and could use some more information about how to do the calculations on how many heads required in a zone for the amount of water you have in flow and gpm.
Good book. Was just the primer I was looking for on irrigation systems.
Explains the ins and outs of sprinkler systems...I was more interested in the drip system which is does cover...wished it did a little more..
With the drought here in Texas, I wanted to set up a drip system. With all theproducts out there I wasn't sure how to begin. This book is very clear andprecise. I bought & installed, with confidence, what was needed & now have a up and running system.
Quick guide that can really get you on the right track. Helped us to figure out what we need for pieces to install our homescale irrigation system ourselves.
Save your money and buy a current book and/or figure it out on the internet. This book was not what I needed.
