Well, 1 star is the lowest I can give. The patterns are free on All Free Crochet.com. I just paid$ .99 for something that's free. Lesson learned!
GREAT CROCHET BOOK: Easy to follow patterns that make beautiful garments! GREAT for beginners and expert chrocheters! These beautiful shawls and ponchos can be crocheted easily and quickly. The instructions clearly tell what kind of yarn, what size crochet hook will work best, and there are colorful, full size pictures of each finished shawl and poncho. There are also easy to interpret diagrams of how the two pieces get seen together to make the ponchos. And the book downloads to your Kindle right away. You don't have to wait for the book to come in the mail. Well, I've got my yarn and crochet hook right here, and I've got to go get busy crocheting holiday gifts for the whole family.
The book was not free but it was cheap $.99. This is not an easy book for beginners. The shawls were complex and required some advance knowledge. If I had known how complicated this was, I wouldn't have purchased it even for $.99.
Easy reading and I will have a great time trying all of these patterns along with different types of yarn.
I didn't find the pattern I was looking for in this book, but I read over the pattern instructions and found them clear and easy to read which makes a huge difference. I don't recommend anything to anyone. If the pattern you want is here it looks like a great resource .
Nearly half of these shawls I don't see myself ever making, but it's a worthy purchase just for the few I'm interested in. The patterns are very clear and easy to read, and I like that the yarns needed are more commonly available.
Being a beginner, I had no problem understanding the instructions. The finished shawls are pretty. Great gift ideas. I highly recomment this book.
