Both titles include numerous quotes, most of which are taken from newspapers and popular magazines. Each chapter contains a couple of clear black-and-white photographs. Unlike most other books about AIDS, this contains little clinical information about the disease or its transmission. Rather, it is about individuals faced with a fatal disease and the choices they make, many of which involve educating the public about the disease, as they give their final years meaning.
